Our every inventive event planner, Randy Rivette has come up with another great social function meal. The previous ones have all been a huge success for the lodge as will this forthcoming one we feel.

The event coincides with the NCMA Convention schedule for that weekend and is a great opportunity to invite your visiting Moose Friends from out of town to the Lodge for a visit as well as your family and local neighbors and friends. It is also an excellent opportunity to "recruit (or sponsor) new members" as the meals the volunteer cooks put forward are enough to get anyone to join.

The meal consists of the bar-b-que chicken, baked beans, cole slaw and all the trimmings plus the opportunity to enjoy the beverage of your choice. Don't forget that the children can be entertained in their own quarters with electronic games, computers for use and the like.

A great opportunity to attend a good outing, meeting your Lodge brothers and sisters while enjoying a good meal. SEE YOU THERE!

At the upcoming Lodge Moose Legionnaires meeting on Monday, August 30th, the meeting will start at 6:00 PM and a dinner of Hot Dogs and Sides plus desserts will be offered.

All Moose Legionnaires and their Ladies are invited to attend and as those who have witnessed, the "vittles" couldn't be any finer. At each meeting, a meal is served with those attending providing.

The Lodge Moose Legion Group continues to hold fundraisers which are split with the Lodge to assist the Lodge financially. We welcome any Moose Legionnaire with their Ladies or Lady Friend to join our group and assist in these fund raising functions.

One such example will be a spaghetti dinner planned for Friday, Sept. 17th which will be at a cost of $6.00 and will be held from 5:00 PM till 8:00 PM. Dessert will be $1.00 with Jan Dinger heading up this effort. We urge all members to mark this on your calendar, come out and support your Lodge.

Following the dinner, the Ladies of the WOTM will be having a fun event called second hand rose and this will be a side splitting event as you observe the husbands wearing the "garb" that the wives have chosen for them to wear on this special night. Be sure and attend as voting for your favorite will be by currency with $1.00 representing a vote.

Brother Vern Sieg, a dual member of our lodge was honored in Nashville by his elevation to the Fellowship Degree at a morning breakfast. It is another fraternal step in our fraternity when a member of the LOOM is selected for this high honor, which is the second highest degree in the Loyal Order of Moose.

A total of 250 men were selected in Nashville and while sounding like a lot, this comes from a total of 790+ lodges which make up our International organization.
